I have to ask, why did you use ISO 1000, 1/3200 @ f/6.3 on the fist image? I doubt the sun and the sailboat wasn't going that fast...LOL! I think the first one is the best. I might trim off some of the foreground and maybe some off the sky. For you next trip, try shooting around ISO 100 and f/8 - f/11 and set the SS where ever it falls. Use a tripod too.

#2 - I would have tried either getting closer or use your zoom lens to focus on the bottom half of the falls, where it exits into the pool. As it is, it looks too cluttered to me.

#3 - You camera also can shoot in the portrait (vertical) position...LOL! I would crop a lot from the right and left, to focus on the flower and bee.

#4 - Why did you take this one? Just curious.

Hope this helps.

^^^ What HikinMIke said:thumbup:. For me the first one is the best and I really like the composition. Overall I give you a 5 out of 10.

I really dig the first one! I wish I could see the boat better, but either way wish I was aboard. :)

.................

I'm gonna guess..... because the lens is out at 200mm.

Agree with Mike.

I like the bee picture, but a crop is definitely needed.

1. That picture was taken when i still had very little grasp over the basics of my camera, that would account for the very high iso and such.

2. Yeah i just cropped the bee picture, it's a lot stronger of a composition.

4. I really like the tree-line and the lighting of the sky, mainly the sky. I have a few different shots of the scene, i just loved the sky.

I thought that's what happened on the first shot. I did the same thing when I started too...LOL!

Next time I would try and avoid the fence and/or getting closer. Hope for some clouds too. Most of the time, sunsets w/o clouds are pretty boring, IMO.
