Some New Shots

well i got some new stuff.
1. a Puppy
2. my lighting gear (well a few weeks ago)

anyways i was taking a bunch of test shots with different lighting and i thought they were pretty good.

1. Puppy w/ sigma 70-300

2. guitar headstock with nikon kit lens 18-55

3.same as 2

let me know what you think. using those strobes was a lot of fun. i need to get some good subjects/people to shoot now

also would it be a good idea to get a light meter. im interested in getting into film also so i think maybe i should.

Hi, first I have a question. Does your new sigma lens auto-focus on the D40???


The first guitar pic is really nice and clear, I think it may turn out better if you had a lighter, different color background because with that brown backdrop, the guitar kind of fades away. (I have no experience with indoor photography like this so I may be off)

yes it does auto focus with my d40

and yea a different color(white probably) would have made the guitar pop
