What's new

Some of my best recent work.

Nice shots. 1 and 3 for me. The first would be a nice artprint imo. What's the max resolution you have for this?

14x11" at 300dpi with some cropping would work or lower the dpi resolution and go bigger...

I don't know much about printing but i am interested now, how do you think i could get the best print out of this?

and how big do you think i could go?

Its coming from an 18 mega pixel camera(if that means anything)

I've found by upscaling a small amount at a time ..e,g from 100% up to 110% and repeat the process, I could get ok resizes to about 200% the original file. The choice of filter for upscaling makes a difference. Lanczos2 or Lanczos3 can give good results. A 10mp resized to 200% is actually a lot more resolution than 20mp. Data size becomes an issue for editing. The files get very big.

18mp ..whats the 000x000 dimensions of that? Basically, the max output at 300dpi is calculated by dividing each dimension by 300 to give the inches. Although your shot is maybe 3:2 ratio, the paper options vary in format. 6x4" is 3:2, 7x5" is 7:5, 10x8" is 5:4. So there needs to be a cropping decision taken if you decide on a non-3:2 print size.

i like the first 2 but there must be something more interesting to shoot at comic con

NUmber three for me as well. Gotta love the glasses with the far away stare. I also like the softness of the figure beside the hard metal structure with their opposing angles. Works very nicely for me.
