What's new

some photos CC please :D?

the first one seems more like a snapshot and i have no interest in keeping my eyes on it at all, very distracting and busy, the second one has potential, since you took the liberty of editing it with sepia toning, i think itd work better in black and white, if you were going to try to make it look old you should add some grain to it

well i was with my point and shoot and i came across the car, and the car was all battered up and the Hawkeye sign was there. Hawkeye comes from war, so it reminded me of a vehicle destroyed by war? I'm fairly new at this. What do you mean distracting and busy?

The second one is my garage where i store all my useful goods, i guess i wanted a picture of my beloved garage. but i guess next time i'll choose something meaning ful and focus on it.

doesnt necessarily have to be meaningful to be a good photograph, ive done plenty of photos in the attic space in my house with a bunch of junk that ended up getting good grades in school and were very good photos anyway. just make sure its interesting to the eye. the common snapshots buried in the attic have no real appeal to other people but the person who took them because they are just memories, if you want to show off pictures to the public they have to have composition and simplicity.

case in point "hawkeye" to you may not mean what "hawkeye" means to me, this is the hawkeye i imagined http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...ei=suXDTKvhBsOclgfok6AD&sqi=2&ved=0CCYQ9QEwAA
distracting as in, theres so much going on in the photo, no main subject, very cluttered, no focus point, just seems like a snapshot

Yes, agree with others on both. Looks like there's some interesting subject matter somewhere in the second, but you need to work to find an interesting composition by moving in closer. Just for reference in future shots, the white stuff in the left foreground is really distracting - watch for bright areas in the frame!

both are very uninteresting, and strike me as snapshots. There's no clear subject in both of them.
