What's new

Some shots of my daughter CC

1. not the best angle for portraits.
2. Head and arm cut off
3. Head cut off
4. The shadow is a distraction

Fix those issues and I think you WB might be off, either that or there is some sort of florescent light in the background?

Yeah the ceiling light was on. I was jsut messing aroud withmy new flashes and am new to the multiple flashes during a shoot. So the feedback is defenitely appreciated and I plan to do some more today and i will play around with the WB and turn off the ceiling light! lol

How many flashes were you using? I just assumed one.

What's going on in the first one where it looks like a missed masking because of the grey/green colour between the gaps in her hair?

I like 2 & 3. I totally wish i could afford lighting!

Aside from the last one with the harsh shadow, they all look a tad underexposed to me. I agree with the comment about looking like a bad masking job on the top one. Overall, I would say the best one is the black and white one.

I am with Tulsa. It looks like one poorly placed strobe.

Keep practicing.

Great model but i don't like the comp on 1 and 4 and i think there's too much flash. 2 and 3 are better but there's something just not right that i can't put my finger on. You should get some great pics with that lighting and that model though.

All the feedback is great!! I am new the flash lighting and photoshop. I am still learning and am goin to get some more practice in the photoshop process.I think I keep trying to do too much with it and I dont know how to use most of the features.
