Actually, there's almost no processing. I adjusted the contrast, and that's it.

Buy a book on basic photography. Study composition and exposure. I bought a couple for less than a buck at my local public library used bookstore.

If you're going for the unprocessed look, controlling exposure will bring that "okie-dokie", up a notch.

Specifics won't matter until you have a grasp of the fundamentals.

Great set. The only thing I don't like in them is the telephone poles. It just takes away from true nature.

I really like 2 and 5. For the rest of the sillouettes, I think there is too much going on in the sillouette/foreground area. Try isolating something, like a tree, or even something more close-up like a bird or leaf, etc. and the pictures will be much more punchy and effective. For example, number 6 would have been spectacular with just that bare tree in the foreground. Also, try putting your self into a more clear area without all the houses and powerlines and you might find more opportunities. I like shooting sunset/sunrise sillouettes, but i've found that there is alot of work involved. Try scouting different areas beforehand and just keep at it. Sometimes you're attempts will be wasted, but the work will payoff in the end. Check out my blog page. In the october section, i've got three pages of sunrise shots (October Sunrise), most are sillouettes with a long lense. I've been setting up those shots in my mind for about a year. Once the fishing season kicked off and the beautiful october sunrises started happennig, I got after it. The entire month i've been shooting these shots exclusively with my long lense and it has paid off.
