This is what happens when I'm home alone bored, and have nothing better to do . I can't lay claim to the idea, I saw a similar photo on here a while back, although I don't believe the poster had their eye in it. Anyway, let me know what you think. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I spent half an hour taking it so I figured I'd share.

I like the concept, but not the DOF. The eye being OOF takes away from the image IMO.

The DOF would have worked a little better in this one, if the part of the can was a little more lit.

This is already pretty cropped, I shot it with my closest focusing lens, my sigma 70-200 2.8 hsm II macro. It only focuses down to 3.23 feet though. Backing out farther wouldn't be viable unless I had a longer lens.

You might have to make a composite of two images... One for the eye, and one for the can.

The more I look at it, the more I feel like the can needs more light in it. That's easy enough to do in post, but I'll have to set it all back up sometime to get a shot with the eye in focus. I'll try it next time I'm bored.

Like I said, I wasn't going to anything spectacular, just bored and playing around.
