Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Thought I'd share this, its a bit different from my other Puffin shots. Puffins are just so over photographed, whether it is in flight, standing or doing some quirky. I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to photograph my subjects.

I've used a shallow depth of field to blur the background and the chest area, leaving the head to be pin sharp. I'd really like to know what you honestly think, if you don't want to post below you can send me a PM or email.

Cheers for the feedback

I like the idea of the shot - though I don't like the white highlight that has blurred over the bird itself. I can certainly see a want to try and go for a more blurred/misty eyed kind of shot over wildlife - something the departs from the general pure cream blurred backgrounds we typically see.

I like the shot. The approach to photograph them differently is great. How do you fade the background to black like that? Was it just naturally dark? And what lens are you using? As I'm about to embark on bird photography as well.

IMO its hard to take a bad picture of a puffin. They are so photogenic. Im totally jealous of you having them as subject material. ;)

Personally I would crop it real tight. It looks almost like an abstract painting.

I like the OOF bits, but I agree, the flare (?) is distracting.

Lovely colours, and like someone else said, like an abstract...
