Like many folk I enjoy roaming the woods for photo opportunities.

However, this moth came to me while I was working in the yard. I quick trip to the house for the camera, set my hat down for scale and viola a pretty picture.

Sometimes luck is better then skill

I have no idea what type of moth it is.

Imperial moth is a guess. One year we had so many interesting moths appear by our back door throughout the summer. I took many pictures. Haven’t seen many at all since then. Take photo opportunities when they come. I like how the hat shows the size of it.
