Is a lens hood and a polarizing filter available for this camera?

If they are available, what size?

I also need a cable to transfer the memory card to the pc.

What is this cable called and what is the small end called?

Most Sony cameras which I have seen use a USB Type A on the computer end and a USB Mini B on the camera end.

It appears that Sony does not recommend a hood or filter adapter. See here for the USB data cable:

Here is a pic of the port on this camera

That is a USB Mini B, usually just called USB Mini. Any cable with that and a reglar full sized USB on the other end will work.
