Hey, Im new to photography and don't actually have a decent camera yet :/ I'm looking at the Sony Nex-5 for shooting video with a lot of movement. I was thinking of getting the 16mm kit lens because its quite wide angle the capture my subjects from close up. BUT i'm not sure wether it would be a good lens or not and was wondering should I get the whole thing for around £300 or go with a body for around £140 and look for a lens for about £200 or is that too cheap for a good lens :er:.
Thanks.

Personally I would stay away from the 16mm lens, it's just too wide to be a 'general purpose' lens, and it's not that fast in terms of aperture anyways. I would consider getting the camera and a lens adapter, then finding a couple of old fast primes for cheap. Your image quality will be better and it will cost you less as well. Plus, more fun not having autofocus etc :D
