Space object ..

Could be , but that would be a huge chunk of space junk ..

If it's undefined you get to name it ;)

:lol::lol:If you name it, it becomes your pet. When it becomes your pet, you can't get rid of it. You're royally screwed!:lmao:

In short, keep quiet...very, very quiet...don't say a word. It will be held against you...

But being red ... I would think Venus.

I see the red dot you are talking about astro but look above that in the third and fourth photo's. My first reaction was meteor or space junk but that little flat leading edge has me thinking more of it being a reflection of some sort.

yeah, the other planetary objects out there aren't really moving.

i was checking on meteors but there was one but on the phlobean (I forgot the term) of the dipper ... but not like that.

so ... that flat part i see .. probably more of a reflection like you think.

I also checked my pics but I don't have that in any photo. Nothing that wide as I normally shot south or east from my position in SE Michigan.

and I was checking my FF camera so I really didn't save anything .. just a test run.

There's nothing that I know of that would make such a shape - so I'm going to 'assume' it's some sort of camera/lens-based anomaly. Were you able to see it with your eyes? Or did you just not notice it until you took the picture?

Hi Tammy!

I'm going to guess this is a reflection from the street light. I noticed that if I draw a line visually from that object to the street lamp that this line appears to go through the center of the frame. If you were using a threaded on filter, it may be a reflection/ghost from the lamp.

Also notice that this object appears to be in front of a thin layer of clouds -- which should have obscured it from view if it were actually in space.

It's a cool photo though!

Well shucks.. I thought I had a UFO there..

If you want to look for space objects floating over here is a web-site you can use, punch in your zip code and have fun.
Heavens-Above

The I.S.S. is very visible with the naked eye on a clear night.

That night sky seems pretty busy for sure.
