One of the more interesting aquatic plants to grow around here is Spatterdock. In the spring/summer it covers the shallow end of my favorite small lake. The flower is complex and emits a strong pheromone which attracts all sorts of insects to help pollinate it; in this case, a Tachinid Fly.
