... this is from yesterdays walk.

no idea what that was being eaten but it must have been good.

And these, i had no idea they came up this way.

I know this picture is crap but I just couldn't get any closer or to a place where I could get a clean view of both cranes, lots of tall reeds and nothing but marsh on both side of the narrow trail I was on. But I have never seen these before so I'm posting them anyways :D

The tits appear to be hanging too low for my taste. ;)

Great shots as always.

lol

I had never been out to this side of the area before, I was thinking that maybe I could get closer to the Bald Eagles or find their nest. It turns out that going out that side it is much further away from the island the eagles are on. But it was a nice day for a walk so it's all good

I was expecting some type of Scarlett Johansson reference from her latest movie, released this weekend...but this bird is nice too. What is it eating? Does anybody have any idea? I wanna know!!! Is that some kind of seed pod or as-yet-to-bloom flower?

While I'm a huge fan lol. This last movie doesn't do her justice as much as the others. But she's sexxxxy

Trust me, if she was running around out there I would have tracked her down and got some pictures for you lol

No idea what the tufted one was eating, it really seemed to be enjoying it. As soon as I got far enough away it was right back on it.

And no sense me starting a thread without adding another failed bufflehead shot.

lol

Great attitude. It's great to just take in the nature. A nice shot or two is really a bonus.

It was 38 when I got out there and I was dressed for that, but it was 62 by the time I got back to my truck, I was seriously over dressed for that lol

I have been going out there for a year now and there is so much I haven't seen. It looks like MSnowy is going to meet me there this weekend for a walk.

I think the tit might be breaking in to a chrysalis to get the caterpillar. Nicely done! And a crap photo of some thing unusual ( cranes where you've never seen them before) is better than no photo. IMHO

Ahhhh, I had considered that, but had dismissed that possibility. Mmmm, yummy, goo-filled caterpillar!!!!

Haha Bill. I have failed Buffleheads, failed red-breasted mergansers, a failed cormorant, and what I'm almost certain was a failed northern shoveller from yesterday.

The ducks all swam to the other (inaccessible) side of the marsh yesterday. Literally - when I parked they were there, and I watched them sail away as I came down the path. Grr birds.
