not bad for first try..and only lens I own is 18-55 mm. by the way, what does 18-55 means...lol

See.. here is the thing, it is super bright outside. Someone who just picked up a camera would turn it to automatic and the shutter will be super fast and would have had photos much better than this.

Check your shutter speed.
