Like the first one better because of the light. Light sorta misses the 2nd one.

Of the two, I like #2 better. A more dynamic image.

#1 is too evenly distributed, so kind of static.

I like the angle of the second shot more than the first one. Shooting straight down on food or a still life feels off to me more often than not. Adjusting the color temperature of the first to make it warmer may help as well. You don't notice it quite so much in the second because the subject color is warmer and off sets the cooler lighting.
