Seems like this is the week for pink flower shots so here's mine:

Taken this morning at Centennial Park in Nashville. A couple more various flowers (I really don't know what they are but they were purty)

Also, this Blue Heron kept flying around the lake. I've never seen one at this lake before so it must be a new arrival. This was just a "Snap" shot (as opposed to a "Snap Shot") since I heard it making the odd noise that they make, looked up and saw it flying toward me, threw the camera up and held the shutter button down. I didn't even know if it was in the frame or not so it was just a luck shot.

Oh Scott the rose is beautiful! Very nice shot :)
In #2 the shadow on the left draws my eye away from the flowers.
Nice " snap " on the Heron! I can't wait until we start seeing them around here again, they are one of my favourite birds :)

Thanks, Judi. To be honest I didn't even notice the shadow. I don't have enough room to get rid of it entirely but I can shift things to the left some.

You are quite welcome.

That happens to me a lot, I don't see it then I post the shot and someone points it out here and it drives me nuts lol
I really like the new crop, what shadow is left isn't distracting at all and the flower really pops now :)

Thanks for pointing it out. I've got problems with my left eye (surgery scheduled for Thursday) and I can see fine to shoot since I only use my right eye, but editing has become a real problem lately. Hopefully the end of the problems is in "Sight" ;)

Nice captures! Nice Heron, too! :)

Will keep you in my thoughts on Thursday and wish you a speedy recovery!
Oddly enough I have issues with my left eye also, Macular Degeneration, so I don't see straight lol (straight lines have bows in them) it can made editing a challenge lining things up etc and colours are muddy (probably part of the reason I oversaturate sometimes and end up with electric blue skies lol) so I understand your frustration. I'm working on using my right when I use my camera but old habits are hard to break.

Thanks, Charlie. For some reason I'm seeing a lot more of them this year than in previous years. I'm not sure whether I've just started looking for them more or whether there really are more. I'm not complaining though, I love to watch them.

Thanks for your thoughts. It is appreciated.

It is frustrating, I can relate. Right now with my left eye open I see two of everything. It's just a cataract but I had my right eye done about 5 years ago and they made a mess of it. It took 2 years to get that sorted out so needless to say I'm a bit apprehensive about this one. I put it off as long as possibly could but it's to the point that a new left lens for my glasses is only good for a couple of months.
