The trees in my neighborhood are absolutely bursting with buds and blossoms. I scrambled out today between rain showers to grab some photos before they’re gone. Around here all it takes is one rainy and windy day and that’s it!

These were all taken with the Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Fuji XT2. Jpegs with no edits other than cropping.

I was not specifically shooting flowers but I took this to test the new T7i when it arrived this week. Again, just a test shot taken in the back yard at noon from about 50 feet away.

Which lens on the Lumix or was it a Sony? These flowers are better than the National Botanic Gardens.

Thanks! This is the Lensbaby Velvet 56 on my Fuji Xt2.

Agree they are beautiful and soft colours, nicely taken.

I find flowers tough. I need to work on it as I find sensors want to do over saturate what it often a single color giving little sharpness to edges (if that makes sense).

I especially like the image with the water droples. It establishes a texture that goes beyond what is visual.

I only edited one image but I think you'll see that you are carrying a significant amount of color cast toward the pink side in almost all of these images. Removing the color cast allows the whites to shine but still retain the softness you achieved while retaining the true pink colors.

Probably from my "Shade" WB setting. I do prefer things on the warmer side than what you have in your edit. I think somewhere in the middle of the two would likely be ideal ... Thanks for the input - much appreciated!
