Went out for a short drive this afternoon, by my favorite spring. The wildlife that normally congregate there were absent. Mother Nature on the other hand has kicked it in gear, as things are turning green and meadows, are sporting yellow flowers like these. Everywhere you look they are in abundance.

Then I caught a scent on the wind, so sweet that I went further into the woods to investigate. Nestled in the shelter of the cliffs bordering the area, were these tiny purple flowers everywhere. The smell was incredible, not overwhelming, but soothing. Had there been sufficient pine needles for a bed, I could well have still been napping there.
