my Nikon 18-200 has developed a "squeak" when focusing, mostly from close to infinity. it is like a soft grind fingers on chalkboard squeak. happens only with AF, not manual. it has no effect on image quality or AF. it seems a little better at times...maybe with use?
anyway, i want to sell it and i have read online this is normal to develop over time all the way to hearing the SWM having trouble. i dunno. it works ok. VR is fine.
i have read a lot of people talking about similar issues.
i don't want to scare buyers off if this is normal over time!!!
thoughts???
