Earlier this week, I took a 90 minute drive up to St. Joseph, Michigan. I need to get out there and do some shooting! Here are some of the photographs that I captured:

1- Kresl Art Museum

2- Sand dunes on Silver Beach...you can see the two lighthouses in the distance

3- Lake View Terrace balconies

4- I thought the shadows added some interesting texture to this stone wall.

5- Another perspective of the Kresl Art Center

6- I found these trees growing out of the dunes to be fascinating. I especially like to photograph bare trees during the winter months. When the light was getting really good, I turned my back to the sunset to capture this scene. Later, I did get some shots of the sun just before it set over Lake Michigan.

7- This is a ready-mix concrete supplier (the reflection caught my eye)

8- The sunset wasn't too shabby, either.

9- The last sliver of daylight

10- A cloud abstract

11- It was much colder during my last visit to St. Joseph. I visited in 2013 to photograph the lighthouses.

12- It was during that 2013 visit that I witnessed this amazing scene.

Thanks for looking...

I like your pier photos especially last one. The Michigan Warren dunes are also nice to photograph.

Interesting and varied set. I agree the last is special.

All nicely done, but I too have to say the last one is a keeper for sure!

That last one [emoji50]

Great shots!

Lovely set! Michigan is such a beautiful state. :586: You nailed #12, hope you have that hanging on a wall somewhere! Great job.

Thanks everyone...I appreciate the views and the comments.

Happy New Year!
