Earlier this week, I took a 90 minute drive up to St. Joseph, Michigan. I need to get out there and do some shooting! Here are some of the photographs that I captured:
- Kresl Art Museum
- Sand dunes on Silver Beach...you can see the two lighthouses in the distance
- Lake View Terrace balconies
- I thought the shadows added some interesting texture to this stone wall.
- Another perspective of the Kresl Art Center
- I found these trees growing out of the dunes to be fascinating. I especially like to photograph bare trees during the winter months. When the light was getting really good, I turned my back to the sunset to capture this scene. Later, I did get some shots of the sun just before it set over Lake Michigan.
- This is a ready-mix concrete supplier (the reflection caught my eye)
- The sunset wasn't too shabby, either.
- The last sliver of daylight
- A cloud abstract
- It was much colder during my last visit to St. Joseph. I visited in 2013 to photograph the lighthouses.
- It was during that 2013 visit that I witnessed this amazing scene.
Thanks for looking...
