St. Lawrence Market, Toronto - c/c welcome

I think every major city has a large farmers market in it, no? Here in Toronto ours is called the St. Lawrence Market. Huge, very old building that houses all sorts of food vendors. Anyway, last weekend I walked through it with the camera and got some shots.

Photos 2, 5 and 8 are good - they really capture the feel of the Market (I'm local).

Reminds me of meat markets of my childhood in the 60's. You don't find those around anymore.

I like that they're black and white and that is what I think takes me back in time. Very nice.

Nice shots. I love black & white, it sets moods and leaves something for the imagination.

Hate to echo everyone else, but the B&W really does it. It really helps the feel of the pictures and to me keeps the picture nice and clean. If you went color at a place like that I think there would be so much different colors that it would be 'distracting'.:thumbup:

Thanks everyone. Yes, Rit, that's exactly what I was thinking. The colour versions are okay but the colour adds a busyness to the photos I found too much.
