Stages of life - how can i make it better?

Sorry about the watermark; i left the original on the school computer, and im not going to be going to school for a couple days.

How can i make this photo a stronger photo? What could I have done to make it a stronger photo?

a little arranging of the subjects would help. Get the 3 "stages" closer and properly angled. Move the distracting green grass away a bit. My guess.

How do you think the photo is right now? Should i have adjusted the aperture?

The white's look blown a bit and the petals are fighting against the bright background. I also agree with Trever to get the subjects closer in the frame. I was thinking you could put a dark backdrop in back but then you'd lose the dark grasses against it without bringing in some light of your own.... or maybe you could reflect some light onto them from the side. That's a technical issue you'll have to work out, but the bright background is hurting it for me.
