cut the right and left and keep the center section the sides are detracting imo. I envision a bw high contrast vertical panorama with it running up a wall.

Just for kicks, humor me a little. Straighten the whole thing so your verticals are all vertical and parallel, then darken the lower left corner. For me it moves it more from documentary to geometrical art.

There had been a person i=on the stairs when I first saw the shot. I was surprised that he/she vwasn't there when I looked at the shot later. Must have reached their floor.

How odd - I can actually see this one at work!

Something seems a little "off" for me in this one and I'm not sure what it is. One guess is that there is too much of the staircase at the top, but I'm just starting my coffee so maybe I can do better later.

Love repetitions in the built environment....can often convey a grimness/alienation. Probably not here though, not industrial enough. I'm not bothered by the converging verticals, they are not a distraction here in what is a fairly abstract image. Here's my zig zag pattern ( a weir on the canal)
