9.15.2018. 1 hour, f/4.5, Polar star trail. 1950 Voigtlander Bessa I # 3189585, Ilford FP4+, ASA 125, Lens: Voigtlander Vaskar 105mm f/4.5. Development: HC-110e. I was up in the Arizona mountains, the Mogollon Rim, & it was dark, so I set up this camera on a tripod & aimed it at what I thought was the North Star. I couldn't see a thing through the viewfinder, & after I turned off the flashlight, I opened the shutter, & stumbled off, back to camp. About a half hour later, a car came around, shining it's lights all over the place. I thought, well, great, we'll see how it turns out. After an hour, it was all I could do to find the camera in the dark, close the shutter, & fold the camera up. Not too shabby. Even if the camera had bellows light leaks, they'd never show up using it this way.

Neat shot. I can’t wait until my cameras are that old.

Well done! Nobody talks about stumbling over rocks and running into bushes in the dark when taking these kinds of pictures - but it's a real issue.

Turned out beautifully! Well done.

No one talks about using film for these type shots. Neat, love it. Got me jonesing to give it a spin
