Stars and darkness

Worked at a remote campground near Donner Pass/Truckee, Ca last summer. These were taken in Sept and the city lights in photos were not noticeable to the naked eye..it was complete darkness. I had ISO high as I am a beginner.

Tried 5 minute exposure to get stars rotating. In complete darkness and listening for any black bear, deer, coyotes, with my TV stand as my tripod!

#2 is Awesome!

#1 is crooked and unfortunately the campfires don't add much to the photo.

#3 probably could have used another 5 minutes.

Did I mention bears and coyotes....in complete darkness? ;0 I thought I would give it more time also, until I got out there alone.
