Do you mean so that the Active Topics page typically has 13 to 15 Welcomes and Intros as consecutive "active topics", day after day after day after day after day????

Drives me up the wall. Noobs trying to drive up post counts. It wouldn't be bad if it was original but a certain person has said "Welcome to the site." over 300 times.

Yeah....nothing except a simple cut-and-paste "Welcome to the site." When I do one, I usually try and work in an offbeat TPF joke, like the one about the all-you-can-eat burrito bar in the TPF cafeteria on Tuesdays, or whatever...but yeah...the 10,13,or 15 consecutive cut-and-paste regurgitations does seem rather forced.

As an aside, I thought that Welcome to TPF posts did NOT count toward members' post counts, but were expressly NOT counted? I dunno...
