Stormy Background

So I have several pictures I took this weekend. It was stormy and nice at the same time (one part of the sky was dark and gloomy and the other part was blue and bright). Very cool. Anyway, I have several pictures like this:

And my mom really likes them but I'm unsure with how bright the foreground is compared to the back. That one has been edited but I just don't know. Any suggestions?

Tad bit too harsh for me. But I like the storm.

Too much flash to ambient ratio is why. Flash is probably 90-100% lighting the subject.

I agree, I'm just not sure HOW to get it to not be either too harsh or too flat.

I didn't use flash. That's from the sun behind me lol

I'll try to even it out, though to be less harsh. Any other suggestions?

PS is your answer. Dodge or select reduce exposure ... adjust tonal balance.

Alright. My PS6 won't open so I guess I'll spend my day trying to get my PS5 to download! Which I need to to do anyway... I hate working with LR >.>

I'll post an updated version tomorrow hopefully
