So I tried to experiment... it took 3 hours, and lots of frustration to even get this one shot.

I used a small glass aquarium filled with water, a black shirt across the back, and 4 flourescent tube lights - 2 on top, and one on each side, to illuminate. Somehow I managed not to get electrocuted with all the water splashing on the lights. :er:

Is there an easier way to do shots like this, that produce better results? This one still has some slight blurring.

i would cool down the white balance and get some more light on those droplets! also, could be a little sharper. overall, its a cool photo! congrats on the capture

Using a flash instead of constant lighting will help freeze the motion. The image is a bit on the dark side but a good first attempt.

Happy Shooting

Use a flashgun on one side and an aluminum foil as your reflector on the other side. Try F/8 to F/12, shutter speed 1/250, and a lower ISO.

I took my aquarium outside and used the sun for light and 1/1000 shutter speed. I sat the aquarium on tin foil to reflect light to the underside of the berry. I used something blue for the back of the tank, can't remember what it was. Takes a few shots to get it right...

Improved shot on the updated picture. ISO 200, f/4.5, 1/1000 shutter speed, 30mm focal length.

If you bump the aperture setting to f/5.6 and lower your ISO to 100, I would estimate the speed to be around 1/500. That would be still be very sharp. By the way, use a CPL if shooting through an aquarium. That would remove any glare or reflection.
