The first two , in my opinion, are great. The third feels a bit intrusive from the angle, but good timing. I would of loved to see this picture taken from a little closer to the subject, or on the same level as him.

the first is great I think, it would benefit from a tad more contrast though. The expression captured in his face is really nice and composition is pleasing as is DOF.


The second one is just plain funny to look at

As for the third one, it is too confusing for me, many details which distract from the main subject ... this could be better or worse in colour , not sure since I do not know how colours were

Great captures, all of them. #1 is a great shot with all the right elements of placement and DOF but more contrast would nail it.
I think #3 would benefit from gradually vignetting around your subject.

thanks! as for the 3rd one... I was just sitting about 20 meters above them, eating icecreams with my friend, and I just saw this scene. I grabbed my camera and with one han I just snapped. I have a few experiments with this shot tough:

The first picture is great.

I also like the last experiment with the selective coloring. It creates a dichotomy between the couple and the other guy that fits there position in the photo. They have a nice and colorful life while he's having a hard b&w time.

Great to see you posting pics again, Mentos! I like them all (in b/w) ... good examples of street photography, with some humour and pathos included.

well... when I saw the big guy I thought that he came there with a huge pitbull or whatever else is huge... and then I saw a...micro-dog york running around...
the bloke and the micro-dog waited there for about 20 minutes and his girlfriend came...she looked similar to him - a bit extravagant, definitely different from the rest of the crowd, and she had same york as his!!!
