streetpic | + theoretical overeposure question

today one smartass told me, that, after seeing my images, they are mostly overexposed and, thus, bad. so if you're not an Artist - well, I have a degree in journalism and half of life worked as selfeducated graphic designer - as far from art as it gets - you can't smartly tell to an educated person, why the hell you are making them like that. you just do. da **** you want from me?

on other note - is this pic worth something? I called it "spring"

I'm certainly not against the use of an informative, amusing or ironic title to get the viewer into the picture however the title here doesn't seem to connect with the content of the picture much and doesn't really help the viewer to understand as much as it just tells the viewer to see this in a certain way.
The picture doesn't help a lot because there is little focus and large parts of it are blown out without providing an artistic value. The picture seems drab and yet the back of his head is brightly lit as if in sunshine.
If the viewer is meant to look at the walker, why is he in the corner?
Are the street signs important? Why are they OOF?
The picture just doesn't come together for me, sorry

Gotta love it when a rant precedes a request for CC. It kind of lets one know what to expect if you do give a CC on the image posted. And where is the theoretical question? Is it the "da **** you want from me? "



So anyways, where is the "Spring" in this shot? The highlights are blown, there is no story being told in the image, there is too much space at the top with the sky included. If there were a story behind it then it might have some interest, but without that it's just a profile shot of a guy crossing the street in bright sunshine.

heh. sorry guys - my mistake :] not gonna do that in the future.

couple things - I guess I should put the exclamations mark after "spring" or smthn, cause this was meant ironically - as the spring mostly is associated with joy and warmtn, I wanted to show tired people and empty street.

with one thing I strongly disagree though - argument that walker, being the main thing in the picture, should be in the center of the image.

I didn't mean that he should be in the center only that there needs to be an artistic reason for having him jammed in the corner - and there doesn't seem to be. It just makes the picture a little more confusing.

so there's a place for an empty street in the background [it is off, because it's meant to be just a mood provider]. thanks for feedback - I gave and will give it more thought for sure!
