Strobe's flash not working?

Hello. I have used my friend's strobes many times before and they would always flash when using the switches correctly but this time it won't work. Even pressing the trigger doesn't make it flash. The strobes are 220w from CowboyStudio Photography. I'm using a Nikon D3000. If you could help in any way that would be amazing! Thank you ahead of time!

I'm not familiar with that unit... Is it battery powered? Or is the trigger battery powered?

Change batteries in the receivers. Double check the channel settings for the receivers. Change the watch battery inside the transmitter.
Do they fire when the test button on the transmitter is pressed?

Everything's battery powered. Test button doesn't work either.

Is it an actual strobe made by Cowboy Studio, or just Cowboy Studio triggers?

I have some Cowboy Studio triggers, but was not aware that they made any strobes... The triggers work fine as long as the batteries are good. Put fresh batteries in everything, like MLeeK said, and try again. You'll likely have to remove some screws (one, on the one I have) to access the battery in the transmitter. Mine was powered by an A23 cell... (Same diameter as a AAA, but only 2/3 the length.)

If the test button doesn't work the battery in the transmitter is dead. It's either a watch battery or a very small cell. Both of which you can get in Wal Mart

triggers battery or the flash itself, there is not 100 possibilities here.

Have you tried pressing the test button on the back of the flash ?
