I did a shoot with a couple of friends on easter monday. my friend brought his model (Lloyd, the male) and i brought mine (Nicole, the female). We shot at Too Good Pond in Unionville (Markham, Ontario) at around... mid day. A pretty fun shoot over all, this was the first time i used a strobe in my shoots...
i don't have enough time to edit them all yet (i'm swamped with work this week...) but i kinda wanna see what you guys think of them so far.
here's the set up for all these shots:
SB-800 @ full power, boomed camera high right, above subject aimed at subject
SB-600 @ full power, camera low right, fill flash
SB-600 @ full power, camera right, behind subject as kicker (failed... didn't seethe commander flash)
Triggered by Nikon CLS (which sometimes failed)
here's my equipment list:
SB-600 x 2
SB-800 x 1
Nikkor 18-70/3.5-4.5
Nikkor 50/1.8
Tamron 28-75/2.8
7' light stand (sometimes "boomed" by friends) x 1
Tripod x 1
Human lightstands x2 at any given time
so far, from what i can tell... my problems are:
- uneven lighting (CLS failure to blame here... strobes didn't fire at times)
- harsh shadows
- hotspots
anyway, here are the photos
