Yes, I work in a number of different mediums. I particularly like pastels.

Same here. It's been several months since I've done anything though. I also enjoy watercolor, pen & ink, carving and woodworking. This is the first year I haven't done a ton of Christmas carvings, but we've had a lot going on.

I use to carve working decoys.

I've only done one duck. The carving came out great but the painting left a lot to be desired.

I've only done one duck. The carving came out great but the painting left a lot to be desired.

I hunted over many of the decoys I had made and most of my hunting partners cringed at the thought of doing so. They would ask. "What if a decoy gets shot" ? "Just part of the game" I would reply. Working decoys are made to be hunted over. I painted them mostly in artist's oils and every scratch, dent, and shot hole along with years of service passed, just added to their character and patina.
