I also ordered a remote shutter release for long exposures, some B+w 77mm
filters (UV, Circular Polarizer, and a warming) with a step up ring for my tamron. Also got a canon battery grip and a Ravelli tripod. It was alot of coin but you get what you pay for. Just the lenses have come in so far though!

Hmm It looks like your 10-20mm has had some damage in shipment, that is a very blurry looking lens there. Generally they should be a lot sharper and crisper overall than that - so I would send that one back.

Your tamron however looks fine for what it is - 3rd party and all. I mean you can at least read the label on it which is about all you can expect from 3rd party manufacturers.

hehe ok ok just teasing! ;) :)
Looks like a great pair of lenses and I look forward to seeing the shots from them - and that tripod is really going to be a help ;)

Haha, i knew someone would say something. I wanted to get out soooo bad over the weekend, but i was slammed with work. I don't even want to talk about it! I probably worked more in 3 days then most work in a whole week. I'm a aluminum fabricator, and we had to start 3 frames for some drilling instrumentation consoles that need to be done this week. So once I get caught up with that, I will get some shots. Promise.

Grats.. but you could have just told us instead of taking and posting photos of the lenses and boxes. But seriously, congratulations.. and I'm super jealous of the Canon 10-22.

Greatly appreciated. I know I'm still new and have ALOT to learn, but i already know im hooked to this, great hobby. I'm gonna have to grow into this equipment most likely I guess you could say. I ordered "Understanding Exposure" by Brian Peterson, I have heard that its a great book to read if your new to photography and want to fully grasp how to capture good exposure. Everything I read from Joe Mcnally has been very helpful to me aswell.

Edit: I said hobby, but its more of a lifestyle.

Like I said, I haven't been able to get out there and do many tests with the new stuff but here's a few shots of the new member of my family. Jojo!
