Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I've been shooting for a little over a year now and finally am I really starting to be satisfied by my images as of late. I have 3 images I have taken today and processed. I am looking for comments and suggestions on lighting and white balance of the images and whether the post-process work I did was "too little" to "too much".

Also, I would like some suggestions on how to make #3 have a more "old time" effect. I couldn't figure that one out.

#1....I like the lines in the sunset but the rest of the composition isn't very interesting. Sunsets are fun but they still need some substance to them. The black part just takes up too much of the photo.
#2...I like the splash of color but the over all picture isn't interesting enough. A tighter crop could be all the difference.
#3....The crop bothers me a little......it cuts off the symmetry of the photo. It might be shot better straight on.

I like the lighting in #2 but it is out of focus.
I think you photos need more interesting 'stuff' in them

May I ask what lens and camera you used for #2?

#1 I think there should be more sky... Use the thirds rule when wanting to place significance on one part of the picture. In other words, I would have made the dusky sky take up approx. 2/3s of the frame.

#2 I give you credit for getting a close-up of those bees, but I feel as though they should all be in focus.

#3 In my opinion, the lack of symmetry adds to the image... I personally like that. But it does seem a bit bland:/

I concur with most of the thoughts so far. Too much black in #1. Move the bees right and close in some more on #2 plus get all the bees in focus. For #3 maybe try applying a sepia filter to it to get the "antiquated" look you were suggesting.
