Subway Serenade - C/C welcomed

The happy, suburban family looking over her shoulder interests me. They are in stark contrast to her own lonely life.

Again, thanks to Rick for the comments -

And to Kanuski for pointing out the family in the poster that adds a little frisson to this photo - totally unplanned.

...

I love photographs that make the viewer ask questions. I like photos that make me think, make me wonder about what is really happening in a scene. While some viewers may see a tired, forlorn expression on the young lady's face, my first reaction is that perhaps the man serenading her has struck an emotional chord in her. Is he making her sad with his song? Is she thinking about some lost love, some lost memory that has suddenly been resurrected?

Sometimes, things are not what they seem. Sometimes we have to use our imagination to see the unknown and we have to use our life experiences to connect with a photo. What is the answer here? I am not sure and really, I am not sure if it matters. What matters is the emotional impact the photograph has upon me. In that regard, this photo is much more than a casual scene, a fleeting moment in time and space- it reminds me of our beautiful, yet, fragile existence

.... Or maybe he's just an awful musician and she's wondering if she can pay him to shut up; or if she could still get home in time to fix dinner if she gets off at the next stop and waits for the next train. ;)

typical of what you'd expect from two guys playing Mariachi music in a subway train.
I gave them a couple of bucks as a model fee.

I was hoping to see the acrobats who are just fantastic.

This is a fantastic image. The crop, composition, and detail are great. A bit grainy for me but overall so very nicely done.

Really like this.. love the reflection part of it as well.
