Suggest a protective case?

I just planned a trip to Colorado to go skiing and I want to take my digital Rebel on the slopes with my 28-135 3.5 IS lens. So what I need is a case that it will fit in that offers enough protection for the camera/lens but still be small enough to fit in a ski jacket pocket.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Recommendations? Don't fall over or buy a P&S. I've never seen a protective case for a SLR camera. (I assume you're after something like the leather phone cases)

You could wear a backpack and put your camera in a Pelican case.

bummer... i was really hoping for a semi-hard kind of case that was designed to hold the body plus lens.... i couldnt find one online but figured such a thing existed somewhere

i wish i knew how to make one or something
