Summer Palace Landscape 1 (Need feedback, two edits)

This is the first of my pictures that I was editing this morning. I KNOW that the second one looks painterly and fake, but I kind of enjoy it because it reduces the blown out sky and also brings out the detail from the shadows. What do you think?

I like no. 2 the best. In fact, I have almost the identical picture, but mine is quite plain compared to yours.

I agree, I like the 2nd picture better. Very nice shot. Now if you could just tell all those people to get off, while you take a picture, that would be great!

LOL that would be hilarious. I could hire someone and tell them to give 20 yuan to everyone who followed him/her. Then I'd be broke ... but I would have a perfect shot!
