Sunpak Flash HELP

Hey guys and girls. Probobly a simple question, but i need some help. I have a Sunpak flash and it has bascially three settings. First, you set the film speed. Then it has two options. For two differant distances. So, when i turn it on to one, it tells me a shutter speed and aperature(example, 125 f/8) Is that what i set my camera at???? Thats my question. Thanks in advance!!!
