the zoom was a last minute thing, but i like

I love doing the "zoom as you press the shutter" trick. It turns OK photos into something awesome like what you have right there. I call it the wormhole effect. :3

You can do the same thing post process, and have a lot more options about where the zoom point is, and how much blur there is;

Yeah, those look pretty cool, i need to start messing more with photoshop to do those sort of things.
I kind of like the original though, the zoom is very even using the lens and i like the way it sort of flows out from the centre point.
But thanks for the info, really useful technique to learn in pp that one, i will try some tonight.
