Sunset over the Firth of Clyde

Had a wee drive down to the coast on Friday after work as the weather had been really good for the previous few days. Gave me the chance to scout out a few locations too, and the sunset was not half bad!

Thanks mate, I lightened it up a bit more in lightroom last night, I think the calibration on my tablet is a wee bit out but I've not had the chance to go through a recalibration yet. Mental note to start trusting the histogram more than my eyes!

Thanks mate. Aye, it was sand which the retreating waves had lapped into ridges and the then the few pools of water left by the ebbing tide had then cut through at the low points. The small domes and circles are lugworm casts, most likely blow lug. There looked to be loads of them but they were fewer than it looked from the roadside.
