The scene had potential, but I would have been tempted to try a different angle and step back. The shadows are quite harsh. Perhaps shooting from the shore and having the sun on the right and the pier on the left, would have worked well, I don't know the place. It may be only me, but it seems that the image is slightly crooked (and this can be easily fixed).

agree - the angle comp is not optimal. Perhaps if you had been standing upright. Sun would be higher in the frame and more of the chair's seat would be visible.

You have very much noise in the picture. this would have worked with a longer exposure. Overall i like the image.
