Super Bowl 48 predictions: Seahawks or Broncos?

Well, Super Bowl 48, the one to be played today at 3:30 Pacific/6:30 PM Eastern time in New Jersey...Which team will win it? The Denver Broncos? Or the Seattle Seahawks?

State your predicted winner, and if you like, "why". My guess at the winner is Denver. Why? I think the Peyton Manning-led Broncos offense will outscore Seattle's good defense. Seattle is the #1 defense, but they established that ranking against multiple opponents that were the worst in the league in scoring, as well as several middle of the pack offenses. Meanwhile, Denver's offense is the best one ever in the NFL's long history.

Broncos for the same reason. Plus when the Broncos get up by 17 points, and Seattle has to pass, that is not going to work out well for Seattle.

Everyone thinks it will be a close game. I say Broncos by 24 plus points.

I'm also going for Peyton Manning and Denver. Mainly - because it's Peyton Manning, he's been there before and knows how to win. This should be a good game because of the fact that the game's #1 offense is going up against the game's #1 defense. Cool!!!

Broncos!!

Derrel already stated quite sufficiently why I think they WILL win. The only thing I'd add to that is Peyton's experience and the way he goes about game preparation versus Russell Wilson who is still a virtual "babe in the woods" in the NFL and is experiencing the Super Bowl hype for the first time. I'm not saying Wilson will *necessarily* be adversely affected by it, just that it CAN be a major distraction, and Peyton has experience in dealing with it.
Why I *want* them to win is because I'm a University of TN fan and a long-time fan of Peyton. The fact that the Broncos also have three other former Vols playing just sweetens the deal. To be fair, Seattle has one former Vol, Tony McDaniel. I'll root for him to do well, but the Broncos to win!

Gotta go Seahawks. Denver is the AFC West with my team. I can't cheer for someone else in my division.

I have no idea who will win. I don't pay as much attention to pro football these days as I used to, and I don't really have any stakes in this one. What you all say about why Denver will win makes sense to me, but I'll say that I'm still hoping for a Seattle win. Denver annoys me. So GO SEAHAWKS!

I really like football and I'll probably watch the game, but honestly, this year I'm really watching it more for the commercials than the actual game. Having said that, of course, I'll get sucked into it and will be yelling at the television by halfway through the 2nd quarter

Denver hasn't seen a defense like they will see today. Well they did actually get a quick peek at it in the pre season when Seattle hammered them. And Denver couldn't break 30 against the Chargers or Patriots. Not a good sign going against that Seattle defense. Seattle 31-17.

You are correct, he is going, going to play for another team next year. And get a boatload of money to do it. And yes I am seriously jealous of all of them lol
