Too centered? Personally, I thought that the symmetry worked.

I like it and I like the symmetry, but why is the thread missing in the reflection? This breaks up the symmetry you were going for, as does the white area in the upper right, which also detracts from the contrast between the needle and the dark background that you see in the reflection. Seems like a great set-up for other shots of sharp instruments (be careful!).

I guess it's just due the the reflective qualities of the background (a sheet of stainless steel, that has been scuffed up a little). The white area was an unanticipated reflection. I debated cloning it out, but decided against it.



I do kind of like that the reflection is missing some elements, as it is just a reflection, and not real.
