I'm in awe of the wonderful detailed shots of birds on this forum. After this attempt at a swan I'm still in awe!! Would have been nice if I could have gotten closer, but the water between us, prevented it, and my low end Sigma just wouldn't cut it. Another reason to go shopping :allteeth:

Nice shot is it real? the neck looks odd

What part looks odd Logan??? The strange lack of feathers in places or the connecting line where the neck attaches to the body??? I'm surprise you didn't notice the perfectly sculpted tail, the flat painted eye or the crud at the water line and I did say I'm still in awe of the bird photographers :allteeth:

It should be noted that you are the only one to notice something was off, so I must have done a pretty good job in LR. I'll admit that I shot at least a half dozen shots before it sunk in that it was a decoy. Thankfully there wasn't anyone around to see me slink off in embarrassment!:chuncky:

At first glance it looks real the part on the neck is the connecting to the body piece

Now you know how I felt looking across the pond. LOL Even the connecting line didn't register at first. It wasn't till I was looking at the tail in the LCD,that it dawned on me it was fake.

Have had that happen with a bucket on a far off fence post thinking it was our first snowy owl of the year. (Who puts a white bucket on a fence post in a field in winter unless it is to trick people!

@ZombiesniperJr At least thankfully I didn't crawl on my hands and knees trying to sneak up on it!!!!:allteeth:
