Swedish Fox, first capture!

Just got my new 100-400 lens yesterday and lucked out when this fox was just standing around, I maneged to take a quick pic before he ran off. Fujifilm X-T2 with Fujinon 100-400 at 285mm

Nice subject and good shot. I think you could tighten in on the fox and brighten up the image a bit. Either way I like it.

Well done on getting the fox shot, I do agree with Jeff on the crop. But he forgot to clone out the grass on the face...lol

Neat looking fox. Not a criticism of the photo at all, but is it just me or does that guy have a tail that looks like it belongs to a fox twice his size? Really cool that you were so close, every fox I've encountered has been a long way off and moving away.

Thanks guys! I'll probably have to brighten most pics with this setup because of the limitations with aperture. I'll keep it in mind!
