Taking photo's for Profit

I'm looking to start making some money from my photography, however I’m 14 and am having trouble with people taking me seriously. Excuse the arrogance but, I’m a good photographer, I’ve received many a great compliment on my work buy pro's and such. I just need to make some money right now to fund developing costs and film. What’s the best way of doing this? So far I’ve been quite interested in a exhibition.
