Taking pictures for a Christmas card can be so much fun.

I had the camera on a tripod (it needs to be higher) and set it on a timer and had it shoot 10 shots after it started going. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

No, the last one with the toes cut off is the one my wife likes the most. We were all pretty exhausted by the end.

Well, I was thinking in terms of two possible cards, actually: I did see that the last would be a photo of choice, toes or no toes.
But you might have wanted to also create a card with all four of you showing, and for that, so I think, 4496 would have become "the one".

Awww, what a cute family!!! I like the 3th one down, but can understand how 4496 was selected as "the one". The expressions of the kids are quite amusing in these!!

I wish we could mesh 96 and 97.. lol though I do like the 3rd down as well.. 89 I believe it was? I think the boy's expression in 97 is awesome and really seems to capture his personality! Fun times!

Next time try using a wireless remote shutter release you can casually disguise in your hand. Then you won't have to wait until the camera decides it's time to take the picture. You can stay in the frame and fire away. I've tried it with the timer but it's so much easier with the wireless release.
Having said that, I will also add that yours came out quite good and will look great on your Christmas cards

I have a remote shutter release but the battery is dead. Go figure.

I do enjoy the family photos around Christmas-I'd share mine, but it's on the other computer. I had a wireless remote to use this year, after a few years of the self timer. This year the kid was pretty good, but apparently the dog is camera shy.
